Well......... the sleet / snow/ rain is horizontal and a week today we kick off serious training with a walk of 96 miles in 5 days..... the West Highland Way, here we come!!!!
Looking forward to it, but really really hoping the weather improves! (just ever so slightly dreading it) but it's lots of walking (without Cooper though, poor Coopsy!) with people that I love, so it's all good!
Had a day with Di today, we got out yellow fever vaccine, and started the getting the Tanzanian visa process, what a palava! We had to get passport pics taken, so here we are, in the pissing rain, sat in the car reapplying our make up...... that is like SOOOO going to be us up that mountain! Wonder if the guides realise we are putting full slap in there for them to carry, along with the case of vino?

Another fundraiser drawing close, more cash to go in the pot, we are almost at £5,000, which we are utterly delighted about!
Halfway there, just need to get the bodies in shape now! Eeeeek. Staying off the wine now too, well cutting back anyway, well..... maybe in a week or 2... nearer the time!

Bank!
Today I sat and counted a bucket of coins! It wasn't fun!! I went to the bank!
That was it, what excitement!
Di and I have a joint charity bank account now though! Now..... that is exciting!

Congratulations......
To Di, your first blog, awwwww well done chickie :)
Yup Glencoe at the weekend, although the hills are covered in snow, but there is a lovely walk from the campsite, and coincidentally there is a pub at the end of it!!!! Well, would be such a shame to walk all that way and not get a drink, wouldn't it??
Lorsy coming too, and the boys too of course :) full support from the gang! Love it!!
Tomorrow........ I am determined to get back on that cross trainer! I won't let the bugs beat me!!!!

Hiya all...Clare got me into blogging our doodaa......walk that is . Oh the training is going very well. Ever since Clare and myself opted to purchase..."invest" in a cross trainer...Clare has been very ill with the lurgy and I've put my neck and back out. Cross trainer....NIL POINT!!!!.....
We are off to sunny Glencoe for a spot of walking and camping this weekend. Get the old boots on and off we trot.
We are also very busy with putting together another great party night. James Bond Casino Stylie!...This is on Saturday 20th March in the Stewarton Area Centre. We have the return of Greg Summers, our fabulous compere , great fun games, plenty of tables for you to gamble the night away, and there are great prizes to be won!!!!

Saturday 20th March at Stewarton Area Centre, 8pm til midnight
Diane and Clare would like to invite you to 'glam up' and come along to a night of excitement and gambling, with a touch of pure class!
Arrive for the red carpeted entrance, and get snapped celebrity style by the paparazzzi.
There will be roulette, poker, blackjack and the.........wheel of fortune!
Tables will be croupiered by the most glamerous of girls and you will be served champagne by handsome waiters.
As if that wasn't enough, there will be food, music, dancing and much much more!

Had a virus, I think that cross trainer I ordered has jinxed me, nothing but poorly since it arrived! Determined to get back on in by the end of the week!
